SDCC 2016 Teen Wolf Panel 02MTV today announced to a packed room of over four thousand, die-hard fans at San Diego Comic-Con that its beloved drama horror series Teen Wolf will conclude with its sixth and final season premiering in November. The series – which spawned a legion of fans (including this writer), pioneered social TV, and made international stars of Tyler Posey and Dylan O’Brien – will draw to a close with a 20-episode season, ending with its 100th episode in 2017.

Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, Dylan Sprayberry, Cody Christian and Khylin Rhambo, along with executive producer Jeff Davis bid fans a teary-eyed thank you and previewed  the final season with an epic –and unsettling– Season 6 trailer.

Teen Wolf has been an extraordinary journey, one that captured the hearts and imaginations of fans more than we could’ve ever imagined,” said showrunner and executive producer Jeff Davis. “We’re eternally grateful for the support we’ve received over these past six years and we’re excited to take our brave fans on one last, thrilling adventure.”

SDCC 2016 Teen Wolf Panel 05

Today marked the seventh consecutive trip to “The Con” for Teen Wolf and, as always, the series’ panel had surprises in store. Cast members Ian Bohen (“Peter Hale”) and J.R. Bourne (“Chris Argent”) jolted the cast and fans by thundering onstage dressed as Beacon Hills’ newest villains: The Ghost Riders.

MTV also gave Comic-Con fans in the room an exclusive sneak peek at its forthcoming scripted series “Sweet/Vicious,” a provocative scripted dramedy about sexual assault, consent and revenge on college campuses that will premiere alongside “Teen Wolf” in November 2016.

Starring Taylor Dearden (“Ophelia”) and Eliza Bennett (“Jules”), Sweet/Vicious is an offbeat superhero story for the millennial generation.  Hell-bent on bringing justice to those who get away with abuse on their college campus, Jules and Ophelia take on double lives as wannabe vigilantes. Filled with clumsy attempts and missteps, the odd-couple pair of antiheroes must balance their new secret life with best friends, parents, love interests, and the metaphorical monsters under their beds.

At the core of the f*cked up, hilarious, heartbreaking world of Jules and Ophelia is the heart of the show: two girls, who never felt like they belonged, finding a home in each other… and trying to kick a lot of ass.

But ultimately, it will be so sad to say goodbye the wolf pack that we have come to know and love.  What are some things you want to see happen before Teen Wolf says ‘farewell?’
