On Saturday, October 26, 2013, Whedonopolis/Fandom Charities, Inc. will again be bringing the fun in with our 6th Annual Whedonopolis Halloween Charity Event, featuring screenings of Dr. Horrible’s Sing-A-Long Blog and the sixth and final season of The Guild.

The event will again be held at the historic Barnsdall Gallery Theatre, in the Barnsdall Art Park, at 4800 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA, with tickets going on sale Sunday, September 1st Friday, September 6th.

This year’s event will benefit Journey House, a non-profit organization that assists former foster children with all aspects of adult life, including, but not limited to, continuing education, obtaining housing and job placement.

That same day, in the early afternoon, Whedonopolis will have a Special Screening of Serenity, separate from the evening events, with proceeds benefitting Equality Now.

Previous screenings have raised thousands of dollars for charities such as Best Friends Animal Rescue, The Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation, PATH Ventures (People Assisting the Homeless), the Elizabeth Glazer pediatric AIDS Foundation and Kids Need To Read (Co-founded by Whedon alumnus, Nathan Fillian, Castle).
