It’s been nearly two years since Jane Espenson and Brad Bell presented Husbands, a traditional romantic comedy about same-sex marriage. Season three is coming in August, and will get a major public premiere in Beverly Hills.

The Paley Center in Beverly Hills will have a special screening of the third season of Husbands on Wednesday, August 14th .  The show became the first online series to be featured at the Paley Center, when season two premiered last August.

The series is about Brady (Sean Hemeon), a baseball player, and Cheeks (Brad Bell), an entertainer, who decide after a wild night in Las Vegas to get married. Now, they’re trying to figure out living together and each other. They get some help from BFF Haley (Alessandra Torresani).  At the end of this article is Fanboy Comics’ video interview with Jane and Brad during last month’s San Diego Comic Con.

Last year, the couple had to deal with an over-blown media scandal. This year, they may face a bigger problem…someone from Brady’s past returns, and she’ll be played by Amy Acker (Angel, Person of Interest, Much Ado About Nothing). (Photo below courtesy of Jonathan Reilly)

Along with Acker, some of the guest starts for season three include Michael Hogan (Battlestar Galactica), Beth Grant (Donnie Darko), Deb Theaker (Best in Show) and Seth Green (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Robot Chicken).

The show also became a popular comic book series for Dark Horse Comics, and was a popular panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

You can see all the episodes so far on the show’s YouTube channel, and a preview of season three at the CW Seed website. CW Seed presents new shows made especially for the internet. They include “L.A. Rangers”, about park rangers, and “The P.E.T. Squad Files”, a spoof of paranormal shows produced by Milo Ventimigila (Heroes). All three shows will start on August 15th.
