THE Halloween Event in Los Angeles

A big thanks to all of you who came to our event last night.  It was a marvelous turnout (we sold out!) and fun was definitely had by all.  A HUGE thanks to our special guests who shared the night with everyone, Jane Espenson, Brad Bell, Greg Aronowitz  Doug Jones, Georges Jeanty, Ben Edlund, Sean Becker and Kristen Nedopak.
Oh, and surprise guest Fran Kranz in the evening’s boldest costume.

Photos should be up by tonight in our gallery and if you have any you would like to share please contact us at info@whedonopolis.com for how to share/link with us.  Same with any blogs or articles about your time at the event. We love reading your adventures of the night.

Thank you everyone for giving purpose to our wacky plots and plans.

SPECIAL GUESTS: We are both thrilled and extremely giggly to announce that the fantastic BEN EDLUNDJANE ESPENSON, DOUG JONES, GEORGES JEANTY, SEAN BECKER , GREG ARONOWITZ, BRAD BELL and KRISTEN NEDOPAK will be in attendance (schedule permitting)!

Plus Doug will autograph the pumpkin carved in his Buffy “Gentleman” character likeness from The Pumpkin Geek available in our prize drawing. It’s a true collector’s item and only available at the screening! Click here for a peek!

These are only the guests we can announce. Our history has proven that you never know who will show up to our event!

Whedonopolis presents the “Weekend Before Halloween” charity screening of Dr. Horrible and The Guild season 5 and Husbands season 2.

The beneficiary this year will be Best Friends Animal Society, a grassroots organization working toward making Los Angeles a “no-kill” city by placing dogs & cats considered “unadoptable” into good homes, and reducing the number of unwanted and homeless pets through effective spay and neuter programs.

We will also have a canned food drive for SOVA, a Community Food & Resource Program which responds to hunger in our community by providing individuals and families with the resources they need to regain self-sufficiency and independence, including free groceries, case management, counseling, and other supportive services, including legal counseling and job search assistance. We encourage attendees to bring non-perishable foods to donate. Canned meats and fish are especially requested, click here to see SOVA’s list of needed items!

Previous special guests have included Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon, Zack Whedon, Maurissa T. Whedon, Nathan Fillion, Felicia Day, Vincent Caso, Alan Tudyk and many, many more!
