Next fall, a weatherman may cause some slightly stormy times for the Dunphys on Modern Family, and he’ll look familiar.
Nathan Fillion will appear in at least three episodes, according to executive producer Steven Levitan. This was announced during the Television Critics Association fall tour. He’ll play TV weatherman Rainor Shine (which is a classic weatherman name), and he’ll be involved with the family.
This is good news for fans of Fillion, whose murder mystery show Castle was cancelled after eight seasons on ABC. He’ll also be part of season two of Con Man with fellow Firefly cast-mate Alan Tudyk, coming in November to the Comic-Con HQ streaming service.
