October is a time for homecomings. Students return to their alma maters, looking around the school, revisiting their favorite places. if they’re lucky, they’ll meet old friends and forgive past enemies.

What would homecoming be at Sunnydale High School? Would they do those things, and hope they don’t run into vampires and zombies?

Fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel will get that chance when Fandom Charities and Damn Good Shindig host a Sunnydale Homecoming October 14th at Torrance High School. That’s where they filmed episodes of Buffy way back when (among other TV shows). People are encouraged to dress in 90s gear, or maybe as their favorite character from the show (alive or dead). People will have a chance to tour the school at 4 PM, followed by the big shindig at 6 PM. There will also be vendors selling their wares connected with the show, and a few surprises. It’s a great way to celebrate one of the most iconic TV shows ever, which is still going strong in the comics and audio books.

The event will also benefit The Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center and the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
Tickets and more information about the event are available here. By the way, parking is free at the school and surrounding areas.
