When you ask Marvel comic book fans what a MODOK is, they point to this…

It’s a killing machine (Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing) who rules over AIM (or Advanced Idea Mechanics) and battles heroes like the Fantastic Four and the Avengers.

What happens, though, when MODOK is fired, and AIM is bought out by a Silicon Valley firm?
Sounds like a sitcom….because it is.

Hulu announced it will air Marvel’s MODOK, an animated comedy later this year.
It will feature Patton Oswalt, who has said for years he would like to play the classic super-villain, finally gets his chance. It’s his first Marvel show since Agents of SHIELD
However, MODOK has to try to find a new purpose, somehow regain control of AIM, and get closer to his family.
That’s right, he has a family, including a wife who’s trying to establish a new life that doesn’t include him, and two teenagers.

Meanwhile, AIM has to deal with being part of GRUMBL, including a meddling manager MODOK doesn’t like. There’s also a mad scientist who’s trying to take over AIM, if she wasn’t foiled by GRUMBL’s new rules.
Aside from Patton, the voice cast includes Wendy McLendon-Covey (The Goldbergs) and Beck Bennett (Saturday Night Live).
A premiere date hasn’t been announced yet.
