Just when you breathe a sigh of relief that Stefan is not lost forever, you realize it’s not over. Stefan may not be dead, but he’s not safe yet. There’s still a long way to go before we can relax.

Stefan is stuck in a human’s body and one of the worst vampire’s to ever live is in his body. It figures that Stefan’s soul would choose an alcoholic human to jump into. His soul couldn’t make this simple, could it?

We’ve always known Stefan was smart, but he’s definitely been use to using his vampire skills for a long time. Being human may be more difficult, but Stefan is managing pretty well, considering. Between having withdrawals, being handcuffed and hurt and not to mention the blizzard, Stefan didn’t do too bad. I was quite impressed with how far he was able to get before Damon was on his way.

For all those Steroline fans, there may be hope yet. Alaric and Valarie are well aware of the bond that Caroline and Stefan have. Apparently, Caroline only said yes to Rick for the kids and Valarie wasn’t expecting their whirlwind romance to last forever. Caroline was kidnapped and it lured Stefan right out. I think it’s safe to say these two could easily get back together. We waited so many season for Steroline to get together and it looks like we could have our wish again.

First we have to get Stefan back in his body. Finding the imposter wasn’t as difficult as one might think, but dealing with a crazy serial killer that was a mass murderer before he was even a vampire, I’m sure is going to prove more difficult.

Then lets not forget that Rayna is planning on killing Stefan’s body the first chance she gets.

Last week I was in utter shock when Rayna killed Stefan and Mary-Louise and Nora destroyed the stone. I just couldn’t believe that Stefan was dead. He’s not exactly well off, right now, but I’m not so freaked out that he’s going to be killed off. Damon, Rick, and Valarie will find a way to get Stefan back in his body.

I like it when shows can make me very worried, even though those characters can never be killed off. Maybe you need a good scare like that every once in a while to keep the adrenaline up. We can’t relax just yet, but it’s only a matter of time before Stefan will be back in his body.

All this means is Paul Wesley gets to have some fun being a bad guy and Stefan doesn’t have to turn into Ripper Stefan.

Of course, once we get Stefan safely back in his body, they will have to deal with all the other vampires that were set free. Unfortunately, as Rayna said, they aren’t all like Stefan.

Since Elena went into a deep sleep, the show has been more focused on the Salvatore brothers. These two have had some ups and downs over the years and this was one of the best scenes with them. Stefan was about ready to give up in his human body and Damon got him moving again. Then Stefan went as far as he could and Damon was there just in time. It was so moving watching Damon motivate Stefan. Occasionally, Damon can be the hero.
