It’s been a long time since we’ve had a crossover episode and this one gave us everything we were waiting for.

***** Spoilers Below *****

The writers know just how to ease the sting of Steroline falling apart, they give us Klaroline back! It’s been a long time since we saw these two together and even though we didn’t actually get to see them together, we still got a great scene with them.

VD714a_0100bIt didn’t take five minutes of Klaus hearing Caroline’s voice for him to decide to help Stefan. Klaus still clearly loves Caroline. I guess even Cami can’t break the bond they have. Their bond has saved the Mystic Falls gang too many times to count. Klaus is always coming to Caroline’s rescue, even when she doesn’t even ask.

It is a little scary that Caroline seeks his help three years in the future and he hasn’t been heard from in three years.

I’ve been wondering how a crossover episode would look. The Originals and The Vampire Diaries are in two very different places right now. Klaus is trying to defeat a prophecy and Stefan is running from a vampire huntress. It doesn’t seem like these two worlds can collide at the moment, but I’m so happy they did.

It doesn’t surprise me that Klaus has had some run ins with the huntress. He has been around a long time. He seemed very afraid of this huntress and he doesn’t get scared easily. Then two seconds on the phone with Caroline and he’s playing the part of the hero.

Klaus may have a point about Caroline. Elijah has lost many women because he’s always taking care of his brother. Stefan will always protect Damon. Can he put Caroline in the middle of that? Damon will screw up time and and time again.

It took Bonnie getting hurt for Damon to realize this himself and take himself out of the equation. I assumed he went to sleep because he couldn’t handle being without Elena anymore, but really he didn’t want to continue to put his loved ones in danger.

There’s very few times that Damon had been very noble. It’s nice to see him doing it for Bonnie now.

Where do they got from here? Is this where we jump three years forward and catch up with the flash forwards? I don’t like the idea of episodes without Damon. That just seems boring, not that I don’t like Stefan, but Damon has been exceptionally good this season so far.

Were you happy to see Klaroline together? Do you think Klaus is still in love with her? Let me know in the comments below.
