As the prophecy comes to a close, new dangers arise and a lot of decisions have to be made. The crossover event of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals leaves both shows looking very different.

***** Spoilers Below *****

I’ve asked before, why doesn’t Klaus get extra help when trying to defeat the prophecy? He’s got so many sires that they would be willing to help him, if only to save their own skin. Stefan just happened to be in town taking care of his problem and was in the right place at the right time.

OR314a_0110bEveryone had their part to play in saving Elijah and Klaus. For once the two Original vampires had very little influence in their fate. Freya wasn’t going to let anything happen to them and neither was Hayley. For everything Klaus has done to Hayley, she still cares. He’s family, but does her saving him have more to do with Elijah than Klaus? I’d say that’s a pretty safe bet.

For all the action that happened in this episode, the common thread was love and what you were willing to do for the people you love. Freya, Hayley, Stefan, Marcel and Davina were willing to do anything to save the people they love.

There were successes and there were loses and now decisions need to be made. Is Stefan going to let Caroline go? What is Klaus going to do? It seems that Klaus may be having the same revelation that Damon is having.

OR314b_0147bWhile Stefan and Caroline may be being torn apart for good and Klaus is stepping away from his family to protect them, Davina is getting her love back. She was finally able to raise Kol from the dead. She went to the ends of the earth to do this spell and she did.

After a very powerful episode, it was nice for some happiness at the end. Davina has come so close in the past, but the Mikaelsons always got in her way. Now she’s finally reunited with him.

Klaus is now unlinked from his sire line. I feel very uneasy about this. Everyone is going to come after him. He may be telling Stefan to let go of Caroline because the huntress will always come after him and he’ll always protect his brother, but Klaus is in a worse state. He’s made a lot of enemies over the years and for the first time since Mikael, he’s extremely vulnerable. There’s no reason to spare him.

Elijah will go to the ends of the earth to protect him, but Hayley is wrapped up in the middle. Is this why Klaus disappears? But where does he go?

I don’t think Klaus will ever stop loving Caroline. She’s his epic love. And if he hears that she’s looking for him, he’ll be back in a heartbeat or at least get one of his siblings on the job.

OR314b_0119bWhere will these two shows be when they return? In two hours so much has changed.

Are you happy that Davina was finally able to bring Kol back? Do you think Klaus leaves to protect his family? Let me know in the comments below.
