SHIELD logo 2Agent Coulson and Skye have decided they will leave no stone unturned to find out the truth about GH325, the drug that saved them both, and they’ll bring down the Clairvoyant, too. Little do they know, someone has overheard their plans… Agent May.

To be continued on April 1…

In the meantime, ABC will present a special that’s mostly a one-hour informercial for Marvel movies, including Captain America: The Winter Soldier, this coming Tuesday. Actually, it does a good job helping people catch up on the evolution of Marvel Studios over the last eight years, starting with Iron Man. Here’s a clip:

The special emphasizes that they make sure everything is connected somehow, from the movies to last week’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. We see Lady Sif bring back Lorelei alive because that’s what Odin wanted. Anyone who saw the end of Thor: The Dark World may sense this’ll lead to part of the next Thor movie.

There’s also a feature on the “one-shots,” short films that feature minor characters in different ways. They turn out to be very Marvel Studios logoimportant. Thanks to “A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Thor’s Hammer” (from the Captain America Blu-ray), we find out that Phil Coulson is much more than a S.H.I.E.L.D. employee in a suit. The one-short for Peggy Carter (in the Iron Man 3 Blu-ray), meanwhile, could lead to another Marvel TV series.

The special includes clips from the next Captain America movie coming on April 4th, and Guardians of the Galaxy coming in August. The preview Whedonopolis received did not include a scene from Avengers: Age of Ultron, but a scene is expected on Tuesday. There might be a sneak peak for the next S.H.I.E.L.D. episode, too.

Marvel: Assembling a Universe airs Tuesday at 8 PM Eastern and Pacific on ABC.

The premiere of Captain America: the Winter Soldier also included the announcement that the last seven episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s first season will run back to back starting April 1. This means the season finale will be May 13.
