Psych PineapplesFor eight seasons, the USA Network has a successful run with Psych, a detective show about a fake psychic and his friend battling crime in Santa Barbara. Next month, they’ll be closing their detective agency for good.

The final five episodes will start on Wednesday February 26th at 9 PM Eastern and Pacific, leading to the series finale on March 26th. It’ll be followed by the “Psych After Show” at 10 PM, which will feature the cast including James Roday and Dule Hull, and creator Steve Franks. It’ll air live on the east coast before a live audience in Los Angeles.

The show not only showed the adventures of two very unlikely detectives, but it was also known for classic spoofs on Hitchcock, The Shining and Twin Peaks. It also chose Comic-Con as the event to show the premiere of “Psych: The Musical” five months before it aired on the USA Network. It also featured notable guest stars including William Shatner, Molly Ringwald, James Brolin, Christine Baranski, Jason Priestley, Jane Lynch, Tony Hale, Judd Nelson, Bruce Campbell and Kristy Swanson.

“PSYCH has made an indelible imprint on the television landscape, with a unique brand of comedy,” said Chris McCumber, President of USA Network. “The final season celebrates the iconic characters that have made this show so beloved, and will be an exclamation point on the series’ incredible run.  And while the series will wrap in March somehow I don’t believe we’ve heard the last of Shawn and Gus.”

USA also released a special video from James and Dule to their fans. Check it out below!
