The Paley Center announced today (Dec. 17) that it will be moving to Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland for the 31st annual PaleyFest from March 13 to 28, 2014.
“Moving PaleyFest to the landmark Dolby Theatre is an extraordinary testament to the festival’s growth over the years,” commented Pat Mitchell, the president and CEO of The Paley Center for Media. “Hosting PaleyFest at the prestigious home of the Academy Awards is also an acknowledgement of the caliber of programs we showcase and of the wonderful support we’ve received from our network & studio partners, sponsors, and the amazing creative talents PaleyFest celebrates year after year.”
Every spring, The Paley Center holds a two-week festival which connects fans with the casts and creators of their favorite TV series by scheduling programs that include exclusive screenings, interactive panel conversations, live table reads, series reunions, and more. (And is a great opportunity to get autographs.)
Veronica Mars will open the festival the day before its nationwide movie release. Also featured in the festival will be Pretty Little Liars and American Horror Story: Coven, which will close the festival out.
The full lineup will be announced Jan. 8. PaleyFest will also hold its second annual PaleyFest Icon Award celebration and will be announcing the recipient and event date in the coming weeks.
PaleyFest Showrunner Passes, including admission to each event, and 4-event Studio Passes will be available to Paley Center Members on Jan. 11 and to the general public on Jan. 13. Individual event tickets will go on sale to Paley Center Members, beginning Jan. 16 and to the general public on Jan. 19 via www.paleyfest.org and the Festival’s ticket provider: Ticketmaster.
And, of course, if you can’t make it to the event, Whedonopolis will be covering the event.
