Here at Whedonopolis, we take a firm stand against bullying of any kind. Everyone is unique and special and deserves respect. They also deserve to be appreciated for who they are and should be free to express themselves without fear of ridicule or physical harm.
We’re so pleased that Cartoon Network is spreading the word about October National Bullying Prevention Month. Their stars Jeremy Shada (Adventure Time) and Shauna Case (Incredible Crew) announce Stop Bullying: Speak Up, a flag raising campaign at all 4000 Boys & Girls Clubs across America. As part of the campaign, US Congresswoman Linda Sanchez (CA-38) advises kids who experience bullying to “Tell somebody; tell somebody you trust” and to not suffer in silence. Cartoon Network President Stuart Snyder assures us that the program, which started 3 years ago, is expected to be long term as Cartoon Network strives to serve its audience. The network is providing the tools and resources as they fight to end bullying across the US.
