We caught up with the cast and crew of The CW hit show Arrow while at San Diego Comic Con. We talked to executive producers Greg Berlanti , Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim as well as Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen), Katie Cassidy (Laurel Lance), David Ramsey (John “Digg” Diggle), Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak) and Colton Haynes (Roy Harper).
Everyone is very excited about what is in store for the sophomore season of this fan favorite action show based on the DC Entertainment character, Green Arrow. There was even a surprise guest at the Arrow panel that may or may not shed some light on some upcoming developments – well, we can dream.
And I even include a clip of the moment when Stephen Amell’s smile fried my Whedonopolis brain and made me forget all things Joss! Check out the vids below as I hang my head in shame…
Executive producer Greg Berlanti discusses sophomore season, Oliver’s journey, the Oliver / Laurel /Arrow triangle, Brother Blood, Speedy and the effect of killing off main characters.
Executive Producers Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim discuss Arrow 2.0, the Speedy debate, The Black Canary, Summer Glau and living up to the standards of “The Muppets Christmas Carol” movie.
Stephen Amell (“Oliver Queen/The Hood/Green Arrow”) discusses the evolution of Oliver Queen into the Green Arrow, the impact of last words, the DC Universe, the most difficult shoots and one embarrassing shot.
David Ramsey (“Digg”) and Katie Cassidy (“Laurel”) discuss Deadshot and Digg’s quest for revenge, Laurel getting into the action and her constantly trashed apartment.
Emily Bett Rickards (who plays Felicity) and Colton Haynes (who plays Roy Harper) discuss Keek-ing, ‘90s parties, being the new kids on the block, digging into the background of their characters, fight choreography and who could become Speedy.
John Barrowman makes a surprise appearance at the ARROW panel at SDCC 2013. Is this an indication of things to come in Season 2? Apologies for the shaky cam, but hey – it’s Barrowman!
Here is the moment when Stephen Amell spoke to me (as I proudly wore my “I do the weird stuff” button from Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog) and fried my Whedon brain. Yes, gentle reader, I forgot the name of Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog (I called it Dr. Hammer!)… and lost my grasp of the English language. Oh, Stephen, you!
Grrrrr Arrrggghh
Arrow’s second season premieres Wednesday, October 9th on The CW.
