Harris will travel to London later this year to tape a pilot for CBS’ version of The Cube, a popular UK game show, according to TheWrap.com. He will also serve as an executive producer.

In The Cube, contestants attempt deceptively simple tasks while inside a clear chamber that seems designed to skew perception. Each success adds to their haul and they are allowed various forms of aid with each completed challenge. With it’s dark background, ominous music and escalating loot, the show has similarities to other Brit game imports such as Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Weakest Link and Deal Or No Deal.

Fox had considered developing the show last fall but later dropped the project.

In addition to currently starring in How I Met Your Mother, Harris also directed a recent episode of the hit show, and will possibly (hopefully!) guest star in an upcoming Joss Whedon-directed episode of Glee.
