In that mix is the “after-market” world of successful franchises, whether it is movies or television. One of those avenues is comics.

Comic-Con legend Kevin Smith, rock band The Bacon Brothers — featuring The Following star Kevin Bacon — and a night of standup comedy from NerdMelt will headline three days and nights of fun, free and fan-tastic outdoor entertainment as Warner Bros. Presents the “Extra at Comic-Con” stage in San Diego’s Bayfront Park, from July 12–14 during the world’s leading pop culture convention. Also announced today: free nighttime screenings of The Goonies, Friday the 13th (2009) and Beetlejuice, presented by Flixster.

Greetings, Scoobies. While the loss of limbs, human or robotic, has been something of a common condition recently in the Buffy-verse, I’m happy to inform my army of minions that while I did have to donate an appendage to the comic book gods for this month’s advance issue of Angel & Faith #9, fortunately, it wasn’t MY appendage. I mean, come on. How would I turn the pages? Anywho, it was totally worth it (And, I’m sure my one-armed buddy would agree. Right, buddy?), as writer Christos Gage and artist Rebekah Isaacs deliver their final chapter of the ‘Daddy Issues’ story arc.
