Welcome back, Dollhouse. After a five week break, it starts its final run with an intriguing two-hour story.

Supernatural’s last couple of episodes have been on the lighter side, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. However, after watching the mid-season finale of the show, one can easily see that the powers that be were softening us up for what is undoubtedly one of the darkest and most depressing episodes of the series, written by none other than the sick, twisted genius that is Ben Edlund. Read on to find out what I thought about this episode in more detail…

I’m a very jaded viewer of animation. I want quality artwork and a well written script that doesn’t talk down to children and at the same time their parents find amusing. Think Animaniacs or Rocky and Bullwinkle (whose creator & head writer Jay Ward would turn in scripts to the network censors too late for any changes to be made). Don’t try to overwhelm me with special effects to cover a bad script (Polar Express), give me a quality script and well crafted artwork. Give me something cute and imaginative like Planet 51.
