Juliet Landau and Ben Browder Star In Sci-Fi Noir Web Series

If Serenity can combine sci-fi with a western theme, why not have a hard-boiled detective that could have come from a Raymond Chandler novel solve crimes in an Internet world?

That’s the idea behind Naught For Hire, a 13-part web series about an old-fashioned detective who prefers to solve cases the way Sam Spade used to do, long before cell phones and laptops. The cast features some sci-fi favorites including Ben Browder of Farscape and Stargate SG-1 and Juliet Landau from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Doctor Who: Paley Center NYC 4/12/10

Doctor Who Invades New York!!!  Whedonopolis gets a few minutes with Steven Moffat and the new Doctor.

After standing-room only American premiere screenings of the new Doctor Who episode "The Eleventh Hour" at Wondercon in San Francisco, Steven Moffat brought his cast to New York’s Paley Center for a panel entitiled The New Era of Doctor Who.  Joining him were cast members Karen Gillin and Matt Smith.  Whedonopolis Special Correspondent Stephanie Varga was able to attend the event and spend a few minutes with the new Doctor and Companion, as well as the man who will be putting hem all through their new adventures.  Click below to see the video.

Psych Interviews at the Paley

This week the Paley Center invited the cast of Psych to showcase their show.  Psych is a fantastic comedy about a fake detective who solves murders with his best friend.  It combines great character delevopment with irreverent comedy.
