Dragon*Con 2007- Day 1: Firefly/Serenity Panel

Ron Glass (Shepherd Book) and Mark A. Sheppard (Badger) were supposed to do Q&A panels all weekend long at the recent Dragon*Con. I’m not quite sure what god D*C goers traveling by plane had offended, but pretty much everybody had the plane trip from hell, ranging from delays in getting on the plane, to delays once in the plane that involved waiting up to 2 1/2 hours sitting on the tarmac before taking off, to all manner of luggage hell, from the Atlanta airport dropping the name of your flight from the screen when your luggage hadn’t shown up in the carrousel yet (“It just times out” was the explanation) to the luggage getting lost, which is always a fun time. Ron was one of the victims of this plane trip hell, and was still trapped in a plane by the time the panel was scheduled to start and never made it, but Mark Sheppard, more than graciously, stepped up to the plate and fielded our questions for an hour. Unfortunately, this is the only panel we were able to attend, because D*C decided to greatly reduce the size of the room where the Browncoat panels were going to take place (knowing that Browncoats are a force of nature at that particular convention) and therefore the long lines were cut off when the room reached its seating capacity. Here’s hoping they’ll reconsider things in future. Now, without further ado, here’s what Mark talked about.
