The liars, the boys and Mona were given 24 hours to find Charlotte’s killer. Did we really think they were going to find the killer in that time?
***** Spoilers Below *****
I never thought they were going to find the real killer, but I’m very, very relieved that Hanna is okay. And to think they didn’t even need to turn Alison in because Hanna had a little help from “Spencer” and found a way out.
Pretty Little Liars has always been mysterious and can keep you on the edge of your seat, but it’s never been this scary. I really wasn’t sure if Hanna was going to make it through the episode. Logically, I assumed she had to live or the show just wouldn’t be the same, but I just wasn’t sure. The writers kept it pretty intense for the entire episode.
We are in the seventh season and the liars are still falling for A’s tricks. I never thought that Ali was the killer. Especially, seeing as her new husband has tricked her into checking herself into a psychiatric facility. Why do they always fall for this? Now they’ve turned in their friend and subjected her to thinking she’s crazy. I’ve never been the biggest fan of Ali, but she doesn’t deserve this.
If this is any indication of how the season will play out, we’re in for a wild ride. Half the episode I couldn’t even breathe because I was so terrified. I was so scared when Ezra and Aria were hiding in the closet and under the window. Sure they just thought they were hiding so Eliott didn’t find they were breaking in and entering, but they have no idea what he’s been up to. What would he have done if he found them?
Hanna may be safe (well, let’s see what happens with Mary), but Ali is now trapped and in a worse state than Hanna was.
While the roller coaster of the episode was going on, we did get some of our couples, particularly Ezria. When the actors teased the season they did say it was going to be the most romantic season yet, and they weren’t kidding. Ezria were reunited in a big way.
It’s kind of funny how the pairings were all the old couples. And of course ex-best friend with ex-boyfriend, Mona and Caleb. The pairings did make sense, but it was also so much fun. I’ve missed the couples.
We haven’t gotten a true Spoby reunion, but them working together was great. I want to see more of them. It’s a great distraction for Spence while her current boyfriend is trying to save his ex-girlfriend. Nothing like a tragedy for true feelings to come out.
I’ve never really shipped Emily and Ali, but the writers were sticking with the romantic theme while going down memory lane. I’m just wondering when Paige is going to return. We know she is, but when? Paige was always my favorite for Em. Sorry, Ali and Emily shippers, that’s just how I feel.
Not only was this season teased to be the most romantic, it was also teased to have the most deaths. I’m very, very worried. The liars may or may not be safe, but there’s a lot of other characters like Lucas, Mona and Paige, and the list goes on. Any of them could become victims and I don’t want to see any of them die.
The entire season may prove to be as intense as the premiere. This is going to be a very stressful season.
Do you think Ali really killed Charlotte? Did the liars go too far to save Hanna? Let me know in the comments below.
