damien_S1_key_art_premiere_FIN_hi_res-1While at San Diego Comic-Con last July, Whedonopolis covered many press rooms, including the one for the upcoming miniseries Damien, which will air on A&E. The show, which is the sequel to the film The Omen, has finally been given a release date. It will begin airing on March 7, 2016, following the airing of Bates Motel.

Damien stars Bradley James (Merlin) as titular character Damien Thorn, Barbara Hershey (Once Upon a Time, Black Swan) as Ann Rutledge, Omid Abtahi (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, Argo) as Amani Golkar, Megalyn Echikunwoke (CSI: Miami, The 4400) as Simone Baptiste, and David Meunier (Aquarius, Justified) as Detective James Shay. The show was created and developed by Glen Mazzara, who is known for his work on The Walking Dead. In addition, Damien‘s score was created by Bear McCreary, whose work can also be heard on many currently airing tv shows including The Walking Dead, Agents of SHIELD, and Black Sails.
