Felicia Day’s YouTube channel Geek and Sundry will return to the San Diego Comic-Con, and this year anyone, with or without a ticket to the con, can drop by to play games, meet some of the staff, and more.The channel will set up shop at Jolt’n Joe’s at 4th and J Streets, where Nerd HQ used to hold its panels (it’s now moved to Petco Park). Its lounge will be open all four days of Comic-Con. All the games that have been featured in both seasons of Table Top will be available starting at 10 AM for folks to play. On the 19th, there will be a Star Trek Catan Tournament 10am-3pm. Sixteen people will play with 14 players chosen from the G&S community before Comic-Con, the final two will be selected on-site at the show. Grand Prize will include an original signed script of “Coming of Age” from TNG, first 3 seasons of TNG on blu-ray, a copy of Wil Wheaton’s book, Memories of the Future and more.
There will be previews of several video games that will be rolling out over the next few months, and a live-streaming of celebrities playing Magic: The Gathering on July 20th.
Felicia will be available for several appearances during Comic-Con. She’ll be signing G&S posters on July 18th at 10 AM, and her new book, “The Guild: The Official Companion” on July 20th at 2 PM. She’ll be joined by Veronica Belmont, Kiala Kazebee and Bonnie Burton of “Vaginal Fantasy” for more games on July 19th at 2 PM.
There will be a showing of “Rock Jocks” with Felicia Day and Jason Mewes and the rest of the cast on July 18th. It’ll be shown again on the 20th at 5 PM. Here’s a link to the trailer.
Geek and Sundry will have its own panel at Comic-Con on July 20th at 11 AM at the Hilton Indigo Ballroom. It includes Felicia Day and Wil Wheaton, along with Adam de la Pena and Amy Berg, who’ll talk about their upcoming shows.
