Joss Whedon’s take on Much Ado About Nothing will premiere in three weeks…BUT a special preview will take place in Hollywood on June 5th, under the stars. More after the jump.
The film will be shown at the Oscar Outdoors venue in Hollywood, pretty close to the Arclight Cinema. It will start the Oscar Outdoors Summer Film Festival, where a special list of movies will be shown under the stars.
Matt Holzman of KCRW’s Matt’s Movies is sponsoring the event. Joss will be there, along with Amy Acker, Alexis Denisoff, Clark Gregg, Nathan Fillion, Fran Kranz and Sean Maher. Tickets will be free, but there’s no word yet on how they’ll be available. Check back for updates.
The movie will be officially released on in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco on June 7th, the UK on the 14th, then other US cities on the 21st.
Other movies that will be part of this film festival include L.A. Story, Beetlejuice, Clueless, National Lampoon’s Vacation, King Kong, Big, and Cinema Paradiso. For more information, click the Oscars Outdoors link.
