Time flies, and somehow we’re already through half of Season 3 of House of the Dragon. Below are some highlights and fan reactions to the first four episodes:
Episode 1 –
Alicent convinces Aemond to leave for Harrenhal and gets an unexpected (and unwanted kiss) as he departs
Jace and Vermax die in the Battle of the Gullet
Episode 2 –
Jace’s body is recovered and presented to Rhaenyra
Rhaenyra takes the throne at King’s Landing with the help of Alicent and the Gold Cloaks
Rhaenyra beheads Otto (after tears and a failed first attempt!)
Aemond kills Simon Strong and is stabbed, falling in front of Alys Rivers
Episode 3 –
Rhaenyra discovers the struggles of running a kingdom
Corlys and Rhaenyra clash over the potential legitimization of his bastards
Ormund’s planted fake Daeron is exposed by Alicent
Episode 4 –
Aegon and Sunfyre are momentarily reunited and viewers are left wondering whether Sunfyre is truly dead
Daemon discovers Rhaena is Sheepstealer’s rider and played a role in Jace’s death
Ormund’s true colors begin to show and viewers get insight into his toxic relationship with his nephew Daeron
