Imagine a world where people can literally live forever. Their souls are downloaded into bodies that can be changed like a new set of clothes. What kind of existence would that be?
Netflix presented such a world two years ago in the series, Altered Carbon. It returns on Februrary 27th with a new leading man and a new mission.
The show features a man named Takeshi Kovacs, an interstellar warrior who has literally lived many lives under different faces. Fans knew him as Joel Kinneman in 2018 when Kovacs tried to solve a murder which got complicated very quickly. Our site had a review of that season.
This time, Anthony Mackie plays Mackie, who is looking for his lost love Quellcrist Falconer (Renee Elise Goldsberry). His search takes him back to his home of Harlan’s World, where he investigates several murders. He has a new partner in A.I. Poe (Chris Conner), and also suspects Falconer is closer than he thinks.
Here’s the trailer:
The cast includes Simone Missick (Luke Cage, Iron Fist) , Lela Loren, and Torben Liebrecht. All eight episodes will air on February 27th. The first season is currently available at http://www.netflix.com/alteredcarbon
