Dichen Lachman is one busy woman. As of today, her newest project, a short sci-fi film called WEBCAM, is now featured on Kickstarter!
WEBCAM is directed by Nick Delgado and stars Drew Van Acker (Pretty Little Liars, Tower Prep) alongside Lachman. The story takes place in post-apocalyptic London and follows James, the last man on Earth, whose only companion is WebCam, a robotic camera drone. James is feeling the burden of being the last man alive, and while questioning his endurance to continue, WebCam picks up something entirely unexpected: a transmission from another survivor!
While the film is already shot, the team behind WEBCAM is looking to raise money for post-production work, including special effects, sound design, and music. The talented crew even includes people who’ve worked on projects including Game of Thrones, Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit films, Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak, and more.
More details about the project can be found on the WEBCAM team’s Kickstarter page.
In addition, the Kickstarter has all kinds of perks and rewards for supporters, up to and including exclusive access to behind-the-scenes photos of the cast and crew, replicas (of multiple sizes) of WebCam the robot, and even invitations to be in attendance at the premiere screening in Los Angeles once the film is complete.
