Are you a fan of films, both long and short? Do you enjoy attending conventions and seeing new things that appeal to you? Then be sure to check out the GeekFest Film Fests this year at Long Beach Comic Expo!

This year, the convention will take place at the Long Beach Convention Center on February 28th and March 1, 2015, and will be the exclusive Los Angeles-area host to the world’s first traveling “geek” film festival. Martha Donato, the Executive Director of Long Beach Comic Expo, feels that the many diverse and varying genre films will be a great fit for fans of the convention, and eagerly anticipates hosting GeekFest Film Fests in upcoming years.

Bill Ostroff, the creator of GeekFest Film Fests, had this to say about bringing his film festival to Long Beach Comic Expo and Con:

“We’re excited to bring the full slate of GeekFest Film Fest films exclusively to the Los Angeles area at Long Beach Comic Expo and Con. We’ve personally seen amazing growth in the con and its commitment to indie artists of all types. These shows have a great venue, room for growth and a forward thinking vision. We can’t wait to celebrate these indie geek genre films with this passionate audience.”

Beyond that, GeekFest is currently calling for submissions for its second year (which will launch at the Inaugural Atlantic City Boardwalk Con in May 2015), with all entrants being considered for distribution on the Stan Lee’s World of Heroes online network. If you enter, there are also other fantastic perks from other sponsors! And if your submission is selected, not only will it be screened at conventions, but you will have the ability to expose your work to thousands, if not more, as well as interact with fans via booth space on the exhibition floor and in program panels! Submit NOW, and your film could travel the country and screen to con audiences from all around the world!
