I have been a fan of vampire romance novels for a long time. In reading a lot of stories, I discovered Jeaniene Frost and her books. When I found her books, I fell in love and have been addicted ever since. Jeaniene’s main characters in the Night Huntress series, Cat Crawfield and Bones, are unbelievably interesting and have fantastic adventures. My discovery of this book series has led to me purchasing each new book on the release date, and reading it the moment I was first able to. The final book in the series was released on January 27th, and I’m to have the opportunity to share my love of this incredible series with a new fan.

In Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Buffy, can kick butt any day of the week, and still be “just a girl.” Cat, like Buffy, can kick butt and take names, all while maintaining her femininity. She doesn’t need a man in her life, but appreciates having one at her side who works with her.  The series’ male lead, Bones, is in many ways similar to Spike from Buffy. Like Spike, Bones is a bleached blonde vampire with exquisite cheekbones. Both are also British, very snarky and  want women who are strong and fully able to defend themselves. I love both characters equally, and wish they could exist in the same world. If you’re a fan of Buffy, you will love these books and probably join me in wishing that you could join in on the hijinks that Cat and Bones get into.
