To wet your appetite for the new Godzilla film in 2014, Legendary Pictures has unveiled the Godzilla Experience at Comic-Con. I can tell you that if you are in San Diego this weekend, you should definitely check it out. It’s a combination museum and interactive exhibit and 100% fun.

You enter into a Tokyo cityscape and to your immediate left you see an overturned police car, then you walk pass the oxygen destroyer prop from the original 1954 classic before you are confronted by Big G himself. As you walk down the block, there is a bank of televisions playing clips from the various films, a cyclonic display made up of pages from various Godzilla comics, and a treasure drove of Godzilla toys and statutes. There is even a sushi bar where you have of piece of sushi or a bowl of soup.

Then suddenly the real fun begins as you are rapidly escorted into a safe room as the warning is out as Godzilla is approaching. However, the safe room isn’t safe for long and you are rushed into an elevator but instead wind up face to face with the legend himself. For the full experience, be sure to download the Godzilla Experience app for the iPhone or Android.

All I can say is that if the same care and imagination that went into creating the exhibit has gone into the making of the film then we are in for a major treat next May 2014.
