San Diego Comic-Con celebrates the best in comics, movies and television, but it’s also doing it part to stop a major problem that is plaguing society: bullying.

The first Anti-Bullying Red Carpet Mixer and Press Summit will be held Sunday at 10 AM at Lou and Mickey’s Restaurant. The unique event includes several groups with anti-bullying initiatives, including the United Nations Association, the Anti-Defamation League, NoH8 Campaign, Cartoon Network’s Stop Bullying: Speak Up, International Bullying Prevention Association and Girl Scouts of America.

Actress Chase Masterson (Star Trek) helped organize this event with award-winning author Carrie Goldman (Bullied: What Every Parent, Teacher, and Kid Needs to Know About Ending the Cycle of Fear).
“The anti-bullying issue is coming of age,” Masterson says, “Everyone can relate to it, and especially with the rash of recent teenage suicides, it’s time for it to stop. We’re uniting pop culture’s favorite stars and media to make a stand along with these top organizations.”
