Barrowman and Housewives execs began talks last summer with the result being John cast as the main villain in an upcoming arc of at least five episodes. 

According to EW’s Michael Ausiello, creator/producer Marc Cherry is a big Torchwood fan and had been looking for a way to bring some 51st century sex appeal to the show. We’re sure the ladies (and gents) of Wisteria Lane won’t mind!

Barrowman’s episodes will begin broadcasting in April and through the season finale. Desperate Housewives airs on ABC, Sundays at 9pm.
