Recently, it was announced that a third Winchester brother would be showcased on Supernatural in an episode entitled, "Jump the Shark." This spurred the folks at TV Guide into asking creator Eric Kripke about the new brother, as well as if he thinks the show has, indeed, jumped the shark. This quote by him makes me giggle:

"For fans who are worried that we are truly jumping the shark… watch the episode, decide for yourself. Personally, I don’t think we’re gassing up the motorcycle quite yet, but you tell me. And stay tuned for next season, when the boys take trips to London and Hawaii (haunted Tiki dolls!) and Sam and Ruby get married. And Ted McGinley joins the cast as the thoughtful (but hot!) college professor."

In an article from The Korea Times entitled, "‘Dragonball’ to Make World Premiere in Korea", they discuss part of the film’s history and heritage, as well as where this current iteration fits in. They cite James Marsters as stating:

Marsters pointed out that the movie is based on "Dragon Ball" rather than "Dragon Ball Z" and that his character Lord Piccolo is a powerful, muscular villain rather than a decrepit old man. Another difference, he said, is that the film does not feature Lord Piccolo’s superpower ability of dismembering himself.
