There’s nothing quite as exciting as seeing a new band you’ve never seen before, but whose CD has been on heavy rotation on your player or your iTunes or your iPod do their thing live. You have no expectations beyond what you’ve heard on the CD, and it can go either way. It could be the coldest expression of artistry you’ve ever seen, akin to playing the CD in the comfort of your home, minus the makeup and the heels and the traveling (like it happened to this writer with UB40 several years ago)… or everything is worth it because you just want to rock out and have fun and let them fill your heart with joy and music.

Whedonopolis is Getting a Makeover!

Whedonopolis is getting a makeover. We’re moving to Wordpress for our CMS software and getting a snazzy (if I say so myself) new interface. Not only will the site be prettier it will also allow our team to update the site faster and easier than ever.

However there is one thing you’ll need to be aware of: If you have an account here currently it will be carried over to the new software but your password won’t work. There’s just no way to migrate the passwords over. So after the switch over you’ll need to reset your password. To do that, your email address we have on file needs to be correct.

So please take a moment to login and go to the Account Settings page and make sure your email address is correct.

Buffy Announced on Blu-ray

According to Blu-ray.com, Buffy the Vampire Slayer will be coming to Blu-ray this September. Sadly, it’s the original movie with Kristie Swanson, Matt Perry, Donald Sutherland and Paul Reubens, NOT the acclaimed TV show. 😉 Regardless, if you’re a Buffy completist, you’ll likely want this in your collection. The release date is September 13th, but pricing and special features have yet to be announced.
