Whedon to Receive Bradbury Award

The Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America announced that it will present Joss Whedon with the Bradbury Award for excellence in screenwriting during the Nebula Awards Weekend, set for April 24th to 26th in Los Angeles. The award will also be presented annually for Outstanding Dramatic Presentation starting next year.

Whedon  is already slated to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award in Cultural Humanism from Harvard on April 10th

Joss Whedon Abandoning TV Forever?

That’s what an article from Giant Freakin Robot entitled, "Joss Whedon Is Abandoning Television For Good", seems to be saying. They cite a recent article in Rolling Stone in which Joss discusses eventually abandoning TV forever in favor of web-content such as Dr. Horrible. With the mixed ratings of Dollhouse this past Friday, if we eventually see this show cancelled unceremoniously by Fox, as Firefly was, the article surmises he might call it quits for TV altogehter soomer rather than later.
