Big Apple Browncoats and CASTLE fans should keep a look out for Nathan Fillion in NYC this week.  Word has it that not only is our favorite mystery writer / sleuth / Cap in town for  Cosmopolitan Magazine’s" Fun Fearless Male of the Year" party, but he will also be a guest on ABC’s THE VIEW on Monday, March 1st.  More info behind the cut.

There are still a few tickets left for a special one-night extended Meet & Greet event with Nicholas Brendon.  Fifteen fans will get to meet & eat with Nick following the March 13, 2010 performance of Why Torture Is Wrong, And The People Who Love Them at the Stella Adler Theatre in Los Angeles. Gary Oldman directed a music video for the Jewish Hip Hop band Chutzpah. The video was shot on Nokia cell phones. What started out solely as a behind the scenes “making of,” turned into a film about Gary’s creative process. Much of the film is told from Gary’s POV as he operates one of the “cell-cams.” We are inside his brain, if you will, seeing the genesis of his ideas and then his precision in carrying them out. Watching Gary work in this way truly celebrates the spirit of Independent, no-budget filmmaking, where innovation and talent reign. Ultimately achieving a seamless creative flow, his playful, childlike freedom of expression and exploration take flight.

Mark your calendars! The Chicago Slay-A-Thon for the Make-A-Wish Foundation will be held June 19, 2010!    A 12-hour marathon watching some of the best episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, meeting and laughing with other Whedon fans, and having a great time while simultaneously raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Illinois. WhedonTrivia will again be providing questions, and those will include ALL of Joss’ shows rather than just Buffy & Angel as was done in previous years.
