Sarah Michelle Gellar Returns to Comic-Con

It’s been seven years since our favorite Slayer has been to Comic-Con. The late time was to promote The Grudge in 2004.

Now, she’ll be back to San Diego to promote her new show on the CW, Ringer. Her appearance was confirmed by Entertainment Weekly. Joining her will include Nestor Carbonelli, Ioan Gruffudd and the production staff. The date for the panel hasn’t been set yet, but should be soon. Ringer will premiere on September 13 on the CW. The EW story also has information about a contest to fly to Comic-Con, including a three-day stay at a hotel suite.

Vote in Our Comic-Con Poll!!

For the past few years, Whedonopolis has hosted the closing events at WonderCon in San Francisco and the San Diego Comic-con. While we’ve traditionally shown the Buffy Musical “Once More With Feeling,” this year we’re mixing it up a little and bringing WonderCon a special screening of “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog” complete with captions.

But now’s your chance to be a part of the Whedonopolis crew. We’re looking ahead to San Diego Comic Con 2012 and want to hear what you’d like to see us present. Is it the Buffy Musical (and remember, Comic-Con is the only authorized place you can see Buffy on the big screen)? Should Dr. Horrible close the Con? Tell us!

To make it even sweeter, entering your email address on the poll will get you entered into a drawing for a special secret Whedon prize!

You don’t have to be one of The Powers That Be to be a powerful part of the Whedonverse. Just log in and make your voice heard! Remember, the whole ‘verse might be listening. Click here to vote in the poll.

How My Dollhouse Pre-Order From Comic-Con Got Cancelled

If you went to Comic-Con last July and went to the Fox booth to pre-order the Season 2 DVD of Dollhouse, and are wondering when it will arrive….there’s a likely chance it’s not coming.
I went to the Fox booth to get the Dollhouse Season 2 DVD at Comic-Con. I gave the clerk my credit card, which was accepted. I got a free lithograph of the cover of the bonus comic book, "Epitaphs", that will be part of the DVD set. I fully expected the DVD to be mailed to me when it is released October 12th.
I even got an e-mail confirming my order.
Then I learned nothing is guaranteed, except death, taxes, and orders made at Comic-Con going wrong.
