Tony Head to moderate GRIMM panel @Comic-Con

Tony Head (Rupert Giles/Buffy) is doing double duty during San Diego Comic-Con.  In addition to being on the Sunday Merlin panel, he will be the moderator for the Grimm panel on Saturday. 

Have questions you wish you could ask if you were there? The team from Whedonopolis will be covering both panels and interviewing talent from both shows.  Please send in your questions & we’ll do our best to get them answered. :-]

Sarah Michelle Gellar Returns to Comic-Con

It’s been seven years since our favorite Slayer has been to Comic-Con. The late time was to promote The Grudge in 2004.

Now, she’ll be back to San Diego to promote her new show on the CW, Ringer. Her appearance was confirmed by Entertainment Weekly. Joining her will include Nestor Carbonelli, Ioan Gruffudd and the production staff. The date for the panel hasn’t been set yet, but should be soon. Ringer will premiere on September 13 on the CW. The EW story also has information about a contest to fly to Comic-Con, including a three-day stay at a hotel suite.

WonderCon 2011: A Different Kind Of Super Hero

Throughout WonderCon weekend in San Francisco, fans got to see previews of long-anticipated movies like Green Lantern, Priest and Cowboys vs. Aliens. People met the stars of the movies, exclusive clips and even got a souvenir t-shirt

Then there’s Super, which is a different kind of super hero movie. Made for about two million dollars, or as writer/director James Gunn says "the craft services budget for Iron Man," it also talks about a man who suddenly decides to be a hero. It doesn’t need CGI or super powers. All it needed was belief, from the actors, the writers and the crew, that people would want to see this movie.

Judging from the response during the panel with Gunn and star Rainn Wilson this past Saturday, that belief may pay off.
