Everyone laughed when The Zombie Survival Guide came out nearly 10 years ago, but with real life face-eaters, intestine-throwers and cannibalistic porn stars in the news in the past week alone, you may have been wondering how you would survive not if, but when the zombie apocalypse arrives.

Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead and his Skybound imprint have come up with a way for you to get some life experience with the first ever The Walking Dead Escape: Live the Apocalypse San Diego. Conveniently timed to coincide with this year’s Comic-Con and taking place at the nearby Petco Park, this event lets you participate as either a Survivor, a Walker or a Spectator. Kirkman says, "We are literally transforming Petco Park into the early days of society’s collapse and San Diego is just the first city to fall."
