This past weekend, Firefly debuted in its third cable network since the show left Fox in 2002. This time, it’s on a channel more known for science shows.
Rebooting Batman and Star Trek paid off, but not so much for the Superman or Terminator franchises. The success of the V remake is still not certain, and fans are waiting for the reboot of the Spider-Man movies.
Now, though, Warner Brothers has announced it will bring Buffy the Vampire Slayer back to the silver screen….without Joss Whedon or Sarah Michelle Gellar or the Sunnydale Scooby Gang, or Angel, or Spike or even Harmony. It will just be Buffy, in a new world.
Some are willing to give it a chance, but most are not.
It’s been a big month for Serenity fans and Dark Horse. The long-awaited Serenity story, "The Shepherd’s Tale" was been released, while USA Today’s website presented a special story called "Downtime". Both releases should please new and long-time fans.
Between them, they created some of the most unforgettable stories on TV, especially in the Whedonverse.
