NCIS Paley Festival Event

Yesterday I got the opportunity to interview most of the cast of NCIS during the Paley Festival of 2010.

This was the first time NCIS has been invited to participate in the festival and they had a great reception from their fans.  People traveled from all over the world to be there which is not unusual for a sci-fi show, but very uncommon for a show that is considered a procedural.  However, watching the cast interact on stage like a funny, and slightly dysfunctional family, it is a reflection of how the characters behave on the show.  Mark Harmon even gave us a treat by head slapping Michael Weatherly when one of his stories started going in the wrong direction.  It was fantastic to watch the family byplay in person.   That camaraderie is why I love this show.

The individual interviews of the cast are embedded below.

Just a gentle reminder to all of my fellow CHUCK fans that a new episode airs this week on NBC.  The Olympics are over — and what fine Olympics they were — and now it’s time for some fresh CHUCK.

In this week’s episode, "Chuck vs. The Fake Name", Chuck promises to cook dinner for Hannah, Ellie and Awesome but must first assume the identity of the world’s most dangerous assassin for his latest mission.  Meanwhile, Sarah is determined to keep her relationship with Shaw strictly professional.  Kristin Kreuk guest stars as Hannah, Chuck’s new girlfriend, and Brandon Routh guest stars as Shaw.  More info behind the cut.

Juliet Landau’s Short Film, ‘Take Flight’, Now Available for Viewing

Take Flight, Juliet Landau’s short film which is described on the official website as follows:

Gary Oldman directed a music video for the Jewish Hip Hop band Chutzpah. The video was shot on Nokia cell phones. What started out solely as a behind the scenes “making of,” turned into a film about Gary’s creative process. Much of the film is told from Gary’s POV as he operates one of the “cell-cams.” We are inside his brain, if you will, seeing the genesis of his ideas and then his precision in carrying them out. Watching Gary work in this way truly celebrates the spirit of Independent, no-budget filmmaking, where innovation and talent reign. Ultimately achieving a seamless creative flow, his playful, childlike freedom of expression and exploration take flight.

Is now available for viewing over on the official Take Flight website.
