We just learned that comic and animation writer Dwayne McDuffie has passed away, according to CBR. Dwayne McDuffie worked on several DC animated projects starring Whedon alum, including most recently, All Star Superman with Christina Hendricks. I was able to interview him just last week at the Paley premiere. According to CBR, Mr. McDuffie passed away due to complications from a surgical procedure performed Monday evening. I know I’m crushed by this loss. If you want to see our own interactions with Mr. McDuffie, click on the link below.
Last night, we were invited to the Los Angeles premiere of All Star Superman, DC Animation’s latest venture which has some Whedon alum in it. We were interviewed crewmembers Andrea Romano, Bruce Timm, Dwayne McDuffie and Sam Liu as well as actors James Denton and Matthew Gray Gubler. Click the link below to see all of the videos.
After four years of playing a girl who has an easier time in role-playing games than in real life, Felicia Day has a new role to play.
USA Today has announced she’ll be part of a new webseries called Dragon Age: Redemption. The story, which Day wrote, is based on the upcoming Dragon Age II game. She plays Tallis, an Elven assassin who’s after a renegade magician. The six-part series is about the search, and efforts to acquire allies. She filmed it recently in the Los Angeles area.
The news comes a week after XBox announced there will be a fifth season of The Guild. She will also appear on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon this week and Eureka this summer .
