That’s what an article from Giant Freakin Robot entitled, "Joss Whedon Is Abandoning Television For Good", seems to be saying. They cite a recent article in Rolling Stone in which Joss discusses eventually abandoning TV forever in favor of web-content such as Dr. Horrible. With the mixed ratings of Dollhouse this past Friday, if we eventually see this show cancelled unceremoniously by Fox, as Firefly was, the article surmises he might call it quits for TV altogehter soomer rather than later. In the story, ‘Viewers Give Warm Welcome to Whedon’s "Dollhouse"’ , TV Week reports that "Dollhouse" nearly doubled last week’s ratings in that time slot with 4.72 million viewers. The numbers are not as rosy for "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" however.

Joss Whedon will receive the 2009 Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award in Cultural Humanism.  This award is a joint presentation from The Humanist Chaplaincy at Harvard and the Harvard Secular Society.
