Jim Beaver Interview – Exclusive

We all know (and love) Jim Beaver, Bobby Singer from Supernatural. We know he is funny and friendly and prolific on the net. (FaceBook. MySpace.) What most people don’t know is that he has experienced great personal heartbreak. First, he and his wife, Cecily, discovered that their young daughter was autistic. Then, just weeks later, Cecily was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer, even though she didn’t smoke. Within a few short months, Jim was a widower and a single father. During his wife’s illness, and for several months after her death, Jim wrote nightly emails to update friends and family. These emails have been put together in to a memoir, Life’s That Way.

He recently took a few moments to speak with Whedonopolis over the phone.

Episode Review: Castle 1×07 – "Home is Where the Heart Stops"

I had to remind myself Monday night I wasn’t watching “Forrest Gump.” The imagery of the floating feather drifting down into a pool of blood seemed a little high brow for what “Castle” is: a fun, escapist procedural. And I’m pretty sure Castle wouldn’t say something as clichéd as “life is like a box of chocolates.”

Although I am sure that he and Beckett go together “like peas and carrots.”
