Then, just weeks later, Cecily was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer, even though she didn’t smoke. Within a few short months, Jim was a widower and a single father. During his wife’s illness, and for several months after her death, Jim wrote nightly emails to update friends and family. These emails have been put together in to a memoir, Life’s That Way.
