In 2003, two Buffy fans came together, not only to share their love for the show, but also to put their passion to good use. Together, they formed Slay-A-Thon, a benefit that raises money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Slay-A-Thon organizes a full day of watching the best Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel episodes, where all the fans get together to indulge themselves in the best moments from the series. Last year Slay-A-Thon added Dr. Horrible’s Sing-A-Long Blog to the event. Together, they laugh and cry; all the time raising money via sponsorship to help children with life threatening diseases fulfill their dreams.

Buffy fans will be heading to the Santa Monica Public Library on Saturday, May 16, 2009, at 3:00 p.m., for an Afternoon with Amber Benson & Tom Lenk. Tom is scheduled to lead the discussion and audience Q&A as Amber celebrates the release of her new novel "Death’s Daughter", prior to a book sale and signing for fans.
Admission is free and open to all. Auditorium seating is first come, first served. Tickets for Auditorium seating will be released one hour prior to event.
