If you were ever startled or scared by the monsters on Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel, you can thank this man.
Robert Hall, who worked on both shows and several movies and TV shows since the 1990’s, died today at the age of 47. It was revealed on his company, Post Human FX, Facebook page.
HIs list of credits is very long, and so is the fact he’s been in all types of projects from horror to drama.
Hall first got interested in makeup and special effects when he was a youth in Alabama. He later learned his craft working for movies produced by B-Movie legend Roger Corman.
He eventually created his company, Post Human FX, in 1996. He worked on the seventh season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, more than 40 episodes of Angel, and Firefly. He also worked for Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, The Inside and Queen of the South.
He also wrote and directed the movie, Lightning Bug, which was a bit autobiographical since it’s about a young man who gets interested in special effects.
He also had an interest in music, playing in the band Zero 1 with comedian Hal Sparks, and directed several music videos.
