You may not know the name of Kazuhiro Tsuji, but you may know his work if you’ve been to the theater lately. A new documentary short co-directed by Juliet Landau and Deverill Weekes will feature Tsuji later this month.
How The Grinch Stole Christmas, the 2001 version of Planet of the Apes, Benjamin Button, Total Recall, Norbit and Hellboy…Kazuhiro Tsuji’s makeup skills have been featured in these and other movies. Now, Juliet Landau and Deverill Weekes are co-directing a short documentary on Tsuji called Dream Out Loud. It shows Tsuji’s latest creation from start to finish. The film includes interviews with Gordon-Levitt, Rian Johnson (who wrote and directed Looper), and famed directors Guillermo del Toro and Philip Kaufman
The film will have its world premiere on Friday, January 18th at 6 PM at the
