For the first time ever in television history, MTV is taking fandom to the next level, celebrating Teen Wolf fans with a week-long exhibit featuring the work of select commissioned artists. The artwork will be displayed at the Art Directors Club in New York, which began with an opening night reception on Thursday, June 25th. The exhibit is continuing through Thursday, July 2.
Teen Wolf series star, Tyler Posey, and Executive Producer, Jeff Davis, were on hand for the opening night kick-off. Jeff Davis mingled with the crowd while checking out the many vivid portraits of the Teen Wolf cast in character and as themselves. There were even some pieces on the new Season 5 “Big Bads,” The Dread Doctors, in all of their intricate steampunk style glory. Tyler Posey entertained a smaller crowd on an upper balcony level, but couldn’t resist getting the bigger crowd below all riled up and ready to celebrate. The Teen Wolf duo then sat down for a brief Q & A with the fans and later took some photos with the group.
We were able to get some one-on-one time with both Tyler and Jeff during the festivities (OK, so we cornered them at the party) and asked what new obstacles would be facing our favorite wolf pack as they start their senior year (well, some of them). Tyler was excited for fans to see a pivotal moment coming up between Scott and Stiles that falls somewhere around episode 8 or 9. He is enjoying his new role as co-producer on the show and thinking about trying out directing somewhere down the line. Check out the entire interview with Tyler below.
Teen Wolf executive producer, Jeff Davis, talked about the origins of the new evil in town, The Dread Doctors, saying that the steampunk style was part of the whole evolution of the characters. They have quite the nefarious plan for our beloved wolf pack and will be hanging around beyond this season. He also talked about transitioning through characters leaving and new characters coming in. Check out what he has to say about what’s coming up in Season 5 below.
The exhibit continues through Thursday July 2nd at the ADC Gallery located at 106 W. 29th Street, NYC.
