There’s been talk about a new version of the classic movie Jurassic Park, but why wait? This Thursday, as part of Comic-Con, people can see Jurassic Park, The Musical in 4-D…and in 30 minutes.
A group called “30 Minute Musicals” describe their version this way: “Dinosaurs and man, two species separated by 65 million years of evolution…How can we possibly have the slightest idea what to expect? WE DO KNOW YOU CAN EXPECT ORIGINAL SONGS, DINOSAURS THAT SING AND DANCE, AND MORE LAUGHS THAN YOU CAN HANDLE!”
The group features Sandeep Parikh of The Guild and The Legend of Neil, and Tom Lenk from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and most recently Much Ado About Nothing. They’ve done 30-minute musical versions of several movies including Top Gun, Teen Witch, Home Alone and Ghostbusters. It got a nomination for “Best Musical” at last year’s Hollywood Fringe Festival
“Jurassic Park in 4-D” will be held at 6 PM Thursday at the Horton Grand Theater, 444 4th Street in San Diego. Tickets are $20 advanced purchase, $25 at the door. You can get tickets at http://30mmsdcc.bpt.me/
