Paramount+ announced that acclaimed Brazilian actor Rodrigo Santoro is set to join Sarah Michelle Gellar in the upcoming original series WOLF PACK.
WOLF PACK is based on the book series by Edo Van Belkom. The story follows a teenage boy and girl whose lives are forever changed when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature.
Santoro will play Garrett Briggs, a Los Angeles park ranger dedicated to protecting the environment. Briggs is the adoptive father to the remarkable teenagers. A man of strong values, he is someone with dark secrets and deep suspicions, especially towards anyone questioning the relationship with his children who were found in the wildfire years earlier.
Sarah Michelle Gellar stars as arson investigator Kristin Ramsey, a highly regarded expert in her field and no stranger to personal loss. She is brought in by authorities to catch the teenage arsonist who started a massive wildfire which may have also led to the reawakening of a supernatural predator terrorizing Los Angeles.
Santoro recently starred in the Netflix film Project Power opposite Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and in the Hulu drama series Reprisal. But Santoro is best known for his roles in the hit series Westworld and Lost, as well as his iconic role as “Xerxes” in the movie 300.
Previously announced cast members include Armani Jackson (Honor Society, Chad) as Everett, Bella Shepard (iCarly, The Wilds) as Blake, Chloe Rose Robertson (Wildflower) as Luna, and Tyler Lawrence Gray (Our Town, Macbeth) as Harlan.
Jeff Davis will write and produce the series as a part of his multi-year deal with MTV Entertainment Studios. Davis is also writing and producing the upcoming Paramount+ original film TEEN WOLF THE MOVIE. Jason Ensler, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Joe Genier, Mike Elliott, Karen Gorodetzky, and Christian Taylor also serve as executive producers.
